How Denomination Calculator Works

Select or confirm your currency

When you open Denomination Calculator, your currency is automatically detected using your device's regional settings. If it's correct, you can start counting immediately — no action needed.

To switch currencies, tap the currency badge at the top of the calculator. A searchable panel opens where you can find any of the 30+ supported currencies by country name, currency name, code (e.g. USD), or symbol (e.g. $).

Enter the quantity of each denomination

Each note and coin denomination is displayed as a card. For each denomination you have, enter how many pieces you're holding.

There are two ways to enter quantities:

• Tap + to add one piece at a time, or − to subtract.
• Tap the quantity field directly and type the exact number. The field selects automatically on focus for quick replacement.

Leave denominations you don't have at zero — they don't affect the total.

Review your total instantly

The Total Cash panel updates immediately as you enter each quantity. You'll see:

• The full total amount in your selected currency.
• Total number of pieces (notes + coins).
• Breakdown of notes total vs coins total.
• Subtotal for each individual denomination.

On mobile, a compact sticky total bar remains visible as you scroll through the denomination list.

Copy, share, print, or revisit

Once you've counted your cash, several export options are available:

• Copy — copies a formatted text summary to your clipboard, including the currency, denomination breakdown, and total.
• Share — opens the native share interface (on supported devices) or falls back to copy.
• Print — generates a clean, professional cash count report formatted for printing.
• Reset — clears all quantities. Your count is automatically saved to history before resetting.

Your completed calculations are saved to Recent History (accessible from the clock icon in the header). Tap any history entry to restore the full calculation.
